The 2020 Election Lies You May Have Heard
PA's Million Vote Dump
I ran across a "Stole the Election" conspiracy repeater who claimed that in Pennsylvania, a million votes were dumped overnight and suddenly 45 went from a 800,000 vote lead to a 200,000 vote deficit.
As a resident of Pennsylvania, and someone that loves Excel(tm), I was tracking and logging the election results about 12 times between 11/4 to 11/6, so I can tell you within a few hours when Biden took the lead, and by how much. I was doing it out of interest between the how many of 45's supporters, who were not "afraid" to vote in person, vice Biden's supporters, who were prudent enough to vote by mail. I did not realize that this could be used as evidence to counter one of the many flagrant lies about stealing the election.
The short version is this: There was no 4am sudden vote dump in any time period. There was no sudden surge, just a constant progression as the mail in ballots were processed.
On 11/4 at 9:30am, 45 was leading 2.9 million to 2.3 million with 1.5 million ballots left to be counted. As the the mail-in votes were tallied, they broke about 3-1 in favor of Biden. There was about 1.5 million ballots to be counted and Biden squeaked out a 60,000 vote lead, not the 200,000 votes as claimed in the election fraud lie.

There was no sudden dump of votes. And there was no dump of 100% Biden votes either. Just a clear progression that followed an easily tracked vector.
I was visiting a friend on 11/5 and his wife was in a tizzy about 45's lead at the time, and I tried to calm her fears boy pointing out the vector was in Bidens favor.
Because every knows you can calm someone down by doing math :)
That didn't work so well, but her husband was convinced, and by transference she accepted it. I wrote down the results then, and a few hours later after an update showed here how fast Biden was catching up with the yet-to-be-tallies.
