More Ballots than Voters in Detroit
Trump has repeatably stated that there were more ballots cast in Detroit than voters. The last time was during his speech on Jan 6, which ended with the crowd attacking the Congress of the United States.
From a transcript of that speech, "In Detroit, turnout was 139% of registered voters. Think of that. So you had 139% of the people in Detroit voting. This is in Michigan. Detroit, Michigan."
Now the Population of Detroit is: 674,000.
The number of registered voters: 504,000.
The number of votes cast: 250,138.
Percentage turn out, 49.56%
Far less than the national turnout rate of 73% for the 2020 presidential election.
A lie often repeated is still a lie.
