The 2020 Election Lies You May Have Heard
More Votes than Voters in Atlanta
In what has now becoming an all too familiar series of falsehoods, four counties have been named as having more ballots than voters. Detroit, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh and Atlanta. The first 3 I have covered in other missives. Atlanta is in Gwinnett County, GA had 581,467 registered voters, 408,268 voted. Not the 816,000 as claimed by 45's supporters.
There is misrepresented source for this claim. There are 816,000 sheets of paper, as the ballots have a Spanish language and an English Language page. But only 408,000 votes were tallied.
Showing this evidence to the deniers and trolls has no effect. They claim the sources of the numbers are just wrong. But only 408,000 votes have been applied to the final tally to Georgia from Atlanta, and even IF they were 100% bogus, that is still less than the total number of voters, as the claim makes.
Either that, or Atlanta somehow lost about 400,000 population that the census somehow missed. It's one or the other. Either the vote tally is correct, or the population is wrong. Chose one.
Update, July 2023. In court papers filed by Rudolph W. Giuliani, he conceded that while acting as a lawyer for former President Donald J. Trump, he made false statements by asserting that two Georgia election workers had mishandled ballots while counting votes in Atlanta during the 2020 election.
This was in response to Giuliani being sued for defamation of character by some of the vote counters in Georgia. Naming them by name and accusing them of stuffing the ballot box. So this is the only lie he has so far admitted to.
